This contemporary painting won the 1992 Dean’s Purchase Award (purchased by the Dean of the Art Department at State University of New York). This modern painting demonstrates the visionaries of today’s contemporary art movement; people who are gifted enough to comment on the world around us in ways the rest of us are unable to fully express. Impact #2 comments on today’s “renaissance” tool - - the computer; particularly the computer’s impact on creating abstract, modern art. Stettner painted this original acrylic painting while in art school as a comment on the renaissance painting tool the computer has become in the new world of abstract art.
